Moves fitness app

Moves, a pedometer and activity tracking app for iOS, has a short first time user experience fitting.

The good bits:
The app has a simple value proposition: track a person’s activity while the phone sits in their pocket, and present information in an easily readable day. The first time experience is also simple and befits an app of this nature with only a simple coachmarks-type intro. An account is never required, and the option to create an account is tucked into the settings screen.

Additionally, Moves uses the ability to customize the message on the location services and notifications prompts to make it clearer to users why they would want to enable these settings.

To be improved:
When an app has such a simple intro, it emphasizes the interruptive nature of the OS-level alerts for location and notifications.
