These are first-run screens from Solar, a weather app that focuses on visual display and gestural interactions to view the day’s weather.
The good bits:
Solar uses interactive coachmarks paced one at a time to let users “play through” the primary gestures in the UI. Each one is dismissed by the user performing the requested gesture, but allows them to stop at points to perform related activities (such as adding a new location or sharing). This can help users learn more easily, as it’s often harder to memorize multiple coachmarks presented on a single overlay or instructions provided in a disconnected product tour.
To be improved:
I would consider lessening the number of gestures that need explaining since it begins to feel forced at 5 instructions. For example, scrolling up to see additional forecast details seems like it would be more self-discoverable than tap-and-hold to share.
